1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and attending the conference (“Event”) organized by OPEN USA (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“you” or “Attendee”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not register or participate.
2. Registration & Eligibility
Registration is open to all individuals who complete our online registration form and pay any required fees or donations. You represent that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.
3. Payment & Donations
- Conference access may require a registration fee or donation.
- All payments are processed via our payment partner.
- We reserve the right to cancel your registration if payment is not received.
3.1 Processing Fees
You may opt to cover processing fees. These are non-refundable once paid.
4. Cancellation & Refunds
If you cancel in writing before September 1, 2025, you are eligible for a full refund minus any processing fees. No refunds after that date. All cancellation requests must be emailed to info@openusa.net.
5. Code of Conduct
All attendees must behave professionally and respectfully. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove any individual who violates this Code of Conduct without refund.
6. Intellectual Property
Materials provided at the Event (videos, slides, handouts) are the property of the presenters or our Organization. You may view and download materials for personal, non-commercial use only.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE EVENT AND ALL MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless our Organization, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We’ll post updated Terms here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued attendance after changes constitutes acceptance.
